About Us

The three of us are connected by fish thread,

still hanging from the Ackerstraße Studio roofs.

At glance we seem to make no sense, but then the crosswords falls

into piece, finding us in constant dejavus of things that never happen or are mostly about to.

We’re kein intellectuals; we like to create hot pots and draw music teachers sketches while having sparkling wine.

Our favourite song is Unbreak my Heart,

from Tony Braxton and we’d love to have a dog.

At the moment we are on the making of

a MA of Set Design and Scenography in the TU Berlin.

We are very delighted to keep on doing stuff.

KK, Noelia and La Prap.

Kristel Khan was born on January 31st in 1994 in Guayaquil. She was raised in Germany and studied Media and Communication Design in Hamburg. In 2018 she graduated with a BA of Arts. During her studies Kristel was most interested in the craft aspect of her studies and in mixing different media. She made her first experience in theater during an internship in the Stage and Costume department for a play of Maxim Billers book „Sechs Koffer“, which premiered in 2019 at the Thalia in Hamburg. Followed by an internship at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin for „Jedermann (stirbt)“. For „Throphe“ Kristel created a two meter long phallus as part of the stage design. Also assisted in the costume and stage design for the short movie „Sugarboys“. In her free time, she loves to create illustrations and do pottery.

Noelia Contreras has a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning. Her interest in buildings is always focused on the context in which they exist and on the people who live in them. This premise applies to everything, including herself. In this way, she brings the cul- ture of the Andes, of rural Argentina, to the metropolises of Lisbon, Barcelona and Berlin. In the German capital she was suddenly granted the status of a migrant, an experience she had never had before. She began working with feminist artists and broadened her constructive horizon, which ranged from children’s studios to workshops for alternative medical practices. Now her focus is on combining space with installations and audiovisual media. Since 2017 she has been living and working in Berlin with contemporary artists as well as in her individual projects in the fields of installation production, art direction and photography. Her spatial-audio- visual documentary film ‘In Utero’ was shown at the Berlin Art Week 2018.

Prapatsorn Sukkaset completed her BA in Architecture in King Monkut’s University of Technology Thonburi in 2015. Through her perspective of an architecture graduate, she had worked for local multi-media firms and artist groups in Thailand, for concert stages and theatrical set designs. Her part deals with both architectural design and lighting sets where she had opportunities in collaborating with local designers and artists from different specialisations, prior to starting her 1sts MA program in 2018. She completed her degree in Master of Arts in Architecture from Städelschule Architecture Class – Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Frankfurt in 2020 with a specialisation in Advanced Architectural Design.

She believes that architecture is a medium in communicating a certain message that could be applied in various forms.

This drives her in the research of possibilities in applying the architecture’s knowledge into other design platforms such as stage design and scenography.
